Choosing a lithium battery for an e bike is usually straightforward. You pick the voltage your controller needs, pick a capacity that covers your daily distance, and order it.

Then you measure the compartment on your e scooty and realise nothing on the market actually fits.

This is where a lot of riders in Pakistan get stuck. Off the shelf packs are built for the most common frames, and plenty of bikes and scooties on our roads are not those frames. Imported models, discontinued packs, moulded seat compartments, lead acid trays that a lithium pack does not sit in properly.

A custom lithium battery solves it. Instead of hunting for a battery your bike might accept, the pack gets built around the bike you already have. This guide covers when you need one, what can be built to spec, and what it costs.

Who Needs a Custom Lithium Battery

Most riders do fine with a standard lithium battery for their e bike. These are the situations where a custom pack is the sensible answer rather than an upsell.

Your battery box is an odd shape

E scooties especially. The compartment under the seat is rarely a neat rectangle, and a standard pack that fits a 70cc frame will not drop into a scooty footwell.

What we do: We measure the space and build the pack around it, not the other way round.

You ride a scooty or imported model

E scooties, three wheelers and imported e bikes often use pack shapes and connectors that nobody in Pakistan stocks off the shelf.

What we do: We match the physical fit, the connector and the charge port to your existing setup.

The original pack is discontinued

Plenty of bikes sold here a few years ago have no replacement pack available now, either because the importer moved on or the model was discontinued.

What we do: A custom pack replaces it without you having to change the bike.

You want more range than stock

Delivery riders and daily long distance commuters often outgrow the pack the bike came with. More Ah in the same space is usually possible.

What we do: We fit the highest capacity that safely fits your compartment and controller.

You need an unusual voltage

Some builds and conversions sit between the common voltages, or need a specific configuration the controller expects.

What we do: We build from 48V through 76V, and configure to match your controller.

You are running lead acid and want to upgrade

The lead acid tray in an older bike is a different shape and weight to a lithium pack, so a straight swap rarely fits cleanly.

What we do: We build to the existing tray so the upgrade bolts in without cutting the frame.

What Can Be Customised

Six things change from build to build. Everything else stays consistent.

Voltage

48V, 51.2V, 60V, 63V, 72V or 76V. Chosen to match your motor and controller, not guessed.

Capacity

20Ah through 60Ah. More Ah means more range, limited only by the space you have and what the controller handles.

Dimensions and shape

Built to the compartment you actually have. Tall and narrow, flat and wide, or split into sections if needed.

BMS configuration

Smart BMS matched to the pack, with Bluetooth monitoring available so you can see cell health on your phone.

Connectors and charge port

Wired to your existing harness and charger where possible, so nothing else on the bike needs changing.

Casing and mounting

Weather resistant casing with mounting points that suit your frame, sealed against Pakistani dust and rain.

One thing that is never customised. Cell quality and BMS protection stay the same on every pack we build. Those are the two things that decide whether a battery lasts four years or four months, so they are not options to trade away for a lower price.

Why E Scooty Batteries Are the Hardest Fit

An e scooty deserves its own mention here, because scooties cause the most fitting trouble of anything we see.

On an e bike built from a motorcycle frame the battery usually sits in the frame triangle, which is a broadly similar shape across models. On a scooty it goes under the seat or in the footwell, and those spaces are moulded to the bodywork. Two scooties with identical motors can have completely different battery bays.

The result is that a pack sized for a 70cc motorcycle simply will not go in, even when the voltage and capacity are exactly right. Riders end up either forcing a pack in where it cannot be secured properly, or leaving it strapped on the outside where dust and rain reach it.

Neither is safe. A pack that moves under braking stresses its own internal connections, and one exposed to weather fails early. Building to the actual space costs no more than buying the wrong size twice.

How the Process Works

From first message to fitted pack, it runs like this.

1

Send us your details

Message us your bike or scooty model, the compartment measurements if you have them, and photos of the space and the old pack. Photos alone are usually enough to start.

2

We confirm the spec

We work out the voltage your controller needs, the largest capacity that fits, and the connector type. You get a firm quote before anything is built.

3

The pack is built

Cells are matched and assembled in house with your BMS, then sealed in a casing sized to your compartment.

4

Tested under load

Every pack is load tested and the BMS checked before it leaves us. Not just a voltage reading at rest.

5

Fitted or delivered

Fitting at our Islamabad workshop, or safe packaged delivery anywhere in Pakistan with wiring guidance.

What to Send Us

The more of this you can provide, the faster and more accurate your quote.

  • Bike or scooty make and model, with the year if you know it
  • Photos of the battery compartment, empty if possible, with something for scale
  • Compartment measurements in length, width and height
  • Photos of the old pack, including any label showing voltage and capacity
  • A photo of the connector where it plugs into the bike
  • Your daily riding distance, so we size the capacity sensibly rather than overselling
  • The controller rating if you have it, though we can usually work this out

If you only have a phone and a tape measure, that is genuinely enough. Photos and three measurements cover most of it.

Lithium Battery Prices for E Bikes and Scooties

Pricing follows voltage and capacity, not shape. A custom sized lithium battery for an e bike costs the same as a standard pack at the same specification.

Capacity is what moves the price within each voltage. A 20Ah pack sits at the starting figure, and 60Ah sits at the top of that voltage band. If you are unsure which capacity you need, our guide on what Ah actually means explains how to work it out from your daily distance.

Custom or Standard: Which Do You Need?

Your Situation Standard Pack Custom Pack
Common 70cc or 125cc frame Usually fits fine Not needed
Scooty with moulded compartment Rarely fits Recommended
Imported or discontinued model Connector often wrong Recommended
Upgrading from lead acid Tray shape mismatch Usually needed
Want maximum range in the space Limited to stock sizes Recommended
Replacing a same size pack Simplest option Not needed

If your situation sits in the top rows, send us photos before ordering anything. It takes a few minutes and saves buying a pack that will not go in.

What to Avoid

Custom work attracts shortcuts, so a few things are worth knowing before you hand money to anyone.

Packs assembled from salvaged cells. Cheap custom builds often use cells pulled from old laptop or scooter packs with unknown history. They test fine at rest and fail within months under load. Ask where the cells came from.

No BMS, or a basic one. Some builders skip the BMS to hit a price. Without it there is nothing balancing the cells or protecting against overcharge, and lithium without protection is a genuine fire risk, not a theoretical one.

A pack that is not secured. If the finished job leaves the battery strapped on with cable ties, the vibration will damage internal connections over a few months of Pakistani roads.

No load testing. A voltage reading with the pack sitting still tells you almost nothing. Insist the pack is tested under load before you accept it.

No warranty in writing. Custom does not mean unwarrantable. Anyone confident in their build will stand behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which lithium battery is best for an e bike in Pakistan?

It depends on your controller and your daily distance. 48V and 51.2V suit most 70cc class e bikes, 60V and 63V suit heavier commuting, and 72V or 76V suit performance builds and delivery use. LiFePO4 cells with a smart BMS are the right choice in Pakistani heat regardless of voltage.

Can you build a lithium battery for my e scooty?

Yes, and e scooties are the most common custom request we get because their compartments are moulded to the bodywork. Send photos of the space with measurements and we will confirm what fits.

How much does a lithium battery for an e bike cost?

Custom packs start from Rs 56,000 for 48V and 51.2V, Rs 67,000 for 60V and 63V, and Rs 79,000 for 72V and 76V. A custom shape costs the same as a standard pack at the same voltage and capacity.

How long does a custom pack take to build?

It depends on the specification and current workload. Message us with your details and we will confirm a realistic timeline along with the quote, before you commit.

Will a custom battery work with my existing charger?

Usually yes, if the voltage matches. Where it does not, we will tell you upfront rather than letting you discover it after fitting. Send a photo of your charger label with your enquiry.

Can you fit a bigger battery than my bike came with?

Often yes. The limits are the space available and what your controller can handle safely. We check both before quoting rather than fitting something that will damage the controller.

Do custom packs come with a warranty?

Yes. Custom builds carry the same warranty terms as our standard packs. The build being made to measure does not change the cells or the BMS inside it.

Do you deliver outside Islamabad?

Yes. We fit at our Islamabad workshop, and for riders elsewhere we deliver safe packaged with wiring guidance. Nationwide delivery is available across Pakistan.

Final Thoughts

If a standard lithium battery fits your e bike, buy the standard one. It is simpler and available immediately.

But if you are riding a scooty, an imported model, or anything with a compartment that standard packs do not suit, forcing a wrong sized battery into the space causes more problems than it solves. Building to the space is the cleaner answer, and it does not cost more at the same specification.

Worth remembering:

  • E scooties and imported e bikes are the most common custom cases
  • Voltage, capacity, dimensions, BMS, connectors and casing can all be built to spec
  • Photos and three measurements are usually enough to get a quote
  • Cell quality and BMS protection should never be traded away for price
  • A custom shape costs the same as standard at equal voltage and capacity

Send us photos of your battery compartment and we will tell you what fits. You may also want to read how to check whether your current battery needs replacing, or our complete guide to EV bike batteries in Pakistan if you are still deciding on voltage.
