Your Evee was doing 80 kilometres on a charge when you bought it. Now it barely manages 40, and it slows badly on any incline. Nothing is broken exactly, the bike just is not what it was.

This is the normal life cycle of the battery Evee ships with, and almost every owner reaches this point eventually. The useful part is knowing what your options are, what they cost, and which one actually fits your model.

Quick answer

Evee electric bikes ship with graphene batteries, which are an upgraded form of lead acid rather than lithium. Most Evee models run a 60V 32Ah or 72V 35Ah graphene pack that typically holds up for two to three years in Pakistani conditions before range drops noticeably. A lithium replacement starts from Rs 56,000 for 48V models, Rs 67,000 for 60V, and Rs 79,000 for 72V, and usually lasts several times longer.

What Battery Does an Evee Come With?

Evee fits graphene batteries across most of its range. Graphene sounds advanced, and it is a genuine improvement, but it is still a lead acid chemistry underneath rather than lithium.

That matters because the two age very differently. Graphene packs lose capacity gradually from the first year, and the decline accelerates in heat. Lithium holds most of its capacity for years, then drops off much later.

Feature Graphene (Stock Evee) Lithium Upgrade
Chemistry Enhanced lead acid Li-ion or LiFePO4
Typical life in Pakistan 2 to 3 years Several times longer
Charge cycles A few hundred Up to 4000
Weight Heavy Noticeably lighter
Usable capacity Around half of rated Most of rated
Performance in summer heat Degrades faster Holds up well
Cell monitoring Basic or none Smart BMS, Bluetooth available

The weight difference alone changes how the bike feels. Riders usually notice it before they notice the range.

Which Battery Fits Your Evee Model?

Voltage is set by your controller, so the upgrade has to match what the bike already runs. Find your model below.

Signs Your Evee Battery Needs Replacing

Six signs, in the order riders usually notice them.

Range has halved

The clearest sign. A Nisa or GEN-Z that did 80 km now struggles past 40. Graphene packs lose usable capacity steadily rather than failing outright.

Weak on inclines

The bike pulls fine on flat road but slows badly on a bridge or ramp. Voltage is sagging under load because the cells can no longer hold it.

Charges fast, empties faster

A full charge in half the usual time sounds good but means the opposite. The pack is charging quickly because there is far less capacity left to fill.

Pack gets hot while charging

Warm is normal. Hot to touch is not. Stop charging indoors and get it checked, because a swollen or overheating pack is a safety issue.

Casing looks swollen

Bulging sides or a lid that no longer sits flat means the cells are gassing internally. Replace it rather than continuing to charge.

Cuts out under acceleration

The bike dies briefly when you twist the throttle hard, then recovers. The BMS is cutting power because voltage dropped below its floor.

How Long Does an Evee Battery Last?

Two to three years is realistic for a graphene pack in Pakistan, and closer to two for a rider covering long daily distances or charging in summer heat.

Several things shorten it further:

  • Charging straight after a ride while the pack is still hot from use
  • Running it flat regularly rather than topping up before it empties
  • Parking in direct sun through Pakistani summers
  • Leaving it uncharged for weeks, which lead acid chemistry tolerates poorly
  • Carrying heavy loads daily, common for delivery riders

Lithium is more forgiving on all five counts, which is a large part of why the upgrade pays for itself over time.

Evee Battery Replacement Cost

Pricing follows voltage and capacity. Within each voltage, more Ah means more range and a higher price.

Is the Upgrade Worth It?

Compare cost per year rather than sticker price.

Option Rough Life What You Get
Replace with graphene again 2 to 3 years Same range decline, same weight, repeat purchase sooner
Upgrade to lithium Several times longer Stable range, lighter bike, smart BMS, fewer replacements

The lithium pack costs more upfront. Spread across its life it usually costs less per year, and the bike is better to ride throughout.

The exception is if you plan to sell the bike within a year. In that case a like for like graphene replacement makes more sense.

Why Evee Owners Often Need a Custom Pack

Evee builds scooty style frames, and scooty battery compartments are moulded into the bodywork rather than being a simple box.

A lithium pack that is electrically perfect for your Nisa can still refuse to go into the compartment, because the graphene pack it replaces is a different shape entirely. Lead acid packs are wide and flat. Lithium packs of the same capacity are smaller but proportioned differently.

This is why we build to the compartment rather than shipping a fixed box. Same cells, same BMS, same warranty, sized to the space your bike actually has. There is no extra charge for the custom shape at a given voltage and capacity.

For more on how that works, see our guide to custom lithium batteries for e bikes and scooties.

What to Avoid

Mixing old and new batteries. If your Evee runs multiple batteries in series, replacing only the weak one drags the new one down to the old one’s level within months. Replace the set.

Packs with no BMS. Cheap lithium builds skip the BMS to hit a price. Without it nothing balances the cells or prevents overcharge, and that is a real fire risk rather than a theoretical one.

Salvaged cells. Some sellers assemble packs from cells pulled out of old scooter batteries. They test fine at rest and fail within months under load. Ask where the cells came from.

Charging a swollen pack. If the casing is bulging, stop charging it immediately, particularly indoors or overnight.

Frequently Asked Questions

What battery does an Evee electric bike use?

Most Evee models use graphene batteries, which are an enhanced lead acid chemistry rather than lithium. Nisa and GEN-Z typically run 60V 32Ah, while S1 and S1 Pro run 72V 35Ah. Entry models like Flipper and Mito use smaller packs around 48V.

How much does an Evee battery replacement cost in Pakistan?

Lithium replacements start from Rs 56,000 for 48V models, Rs 67,000 for 60V and 63V, and Rs 79,000 for 72V and 76V. The final price depends on the capacity you choose, from 20Ah up to 60Ah.

Can I replace my Evee graphene battery with lithium?

Yes. The voltage must match what your controller expects, but within that the chemistry can change. Lithium is lighter, lasts several times longer, and holds its range far better through Pakistani summers.

How long does an Evee battery last?

A graphene pack typically lasts two to three years in Pakistani conditions, shorter for delivery riders or anyone charging in high heat. A lithium replacement lasts considerably longer, rated up to 4000 cycles.

Which lithium battery fits the Evee Nisa and GEN-Z?

Both run 60V systems from the factory, so a 60V lithium pack is the direct upgrade, starting from Rs 67,000. A 63V pack is also possible where the controller allows it.

Which battery fits the Evee S1 and S1 Pro?

Both run 72V from the factory. A 72V lithium pack starts from Rs 79,000, with 76V available where the controller supports the extra headroom.

My Evee model is not listed. Can you still help?

Yes. We build custom packs for any Evee model, including newer releases. Send a photo of the label on your existing battery plus photos of the compartment, and we will confirm what fits.

Will a lithium battery work with my existing Evee charger?

Often yes where the voltage matches, but lithium and graphene charge differently, so it needs checking rather than assuming. Send a photo of your charger label with your enquiry and we will confirm before you order.

Do you deliver outside Islamabad?

Yes. Fitting is available at our I-9/3 Islamabad workshop, and we deliver safe packaged nationwide with wiring guidance for riders elsewhere in Pakistan.

Final Thoughts

A fading Evee battery is not a fault, it is the graphene pack reaching the end of its normal life. What you do next decides whether you are back in the same position in two years.

The short version:

  • Evee ships graphene, which is lead acid based, not lithium
  • Expect two to three years before range drops noticeably
  • Match the voltage your model already runs: 48V, 60V or 72V
  • Lithium costs more upfront and less per year
  • Scooty compartments often need a custom shaped pack, at no extra cost

Send us a photo of your battery label and compartment, and we will tell you exactly what fits your Evee. You may also want to read how to check whether your battery needs replacing before you decide.
