You are tired of lead-acid batteries that need water topping and die within two summers. You want a solar battery that runs your fans and lights through load shedding and does not demand monthly maintenance.

This guide covers the 12V 100Ah lithium solar battery and the larger sizes we build at Hybrid EV Engineering. It explains what to check before buying, who each size suits, and how to match a battery to your daily load without overspending.

Quick answer

What should I know about a 12V 100Ah lithium solar battery?

A 12V 100Ah lithium solar battery stores about 1.2kWh of usable energy, enough for lights, fans, a router and phone charging for a small room or shop. It costs Rs 66,000 at Hybrid EV Engineering, uses EVE cells and a smart BMS, and is rated for 8000 life cycles. Prices checked in October 2026.

What does a 12V 100Ah lithium solar battery actually power?

A 12V 100Ah lithium battery gives you roughly 1.2kWh of usable energy. In plain terms, that runs a 60W ceiling fan for about 20 hours, or four LED lights and a fan through a full night of load shedding. It is not a whole-home battery. It is a starter or small-room battery.

Think of it as the battery for one room, a small shop counter, a CCTV setup, or a backup for your internet router and a fan. If you want to run a fridge, a water pump, or an air conditioner, you need to step up to 24V or 51.2V.

Lithium works differently from lead-acid. You can discharge it deeper without damaging it, and it charges faster. That is why a 100Ah lithium often does the work of a 150Ah lead-acid battery in daily use.

What matters when choosing a lithium solar battery in Pakistan?

Four things decide whether a solar battery serves you well in Pakistan: cell quality, BMS quality, voltage match with your inverter, and summer heat tolerance.

  • Cell quality: EVE prismatic cells are the standard we use. They hold capacity longer than cheap unknown cells. Ask what cells are inside before you pay.
  • BMS quality: the Battery Management System protects against overcharge, deep discharge, overheating and short circuits. A weak BMS is the most common reason a lithium battery fails early. Our batteries use a smart BMS with all these protections.
  • Voltage match: your battery voltage must match your inverter or solar charge controller. A 12V battery works with 12V systems. If your inverter is 24V, a 12V battery will not charge it properly.
  • Heat: Lahore, Multan and Karachi summers are hard on batteries. Lithium handles heat better than lead-acid, but ventilation still matters. Do not box the battery in a closed cabinet with no airflow.
Feature Lead-Acid Lithium (LiFePO4)
Usable capacity About half of rated Ah Over 90% of rated Ah
Cycle life 300 to 500 cycles Up to 4000 cycles
Maintenance Water topping, terminal cleaning None, sealed and maintenance-free
Weight Heavy About one-third the weight
Charging speed Slow Fast, supports higher charge current

How long will a 12V 100Ah lithium solar battery run a home load?

It depends on your load. A 12V 100Ah battery holds about 1.2kWh of usable energy. Divide your total load wattage into that number and you get rough runtime.

Example: two LED lights (20W total), one fan (60W), and a router (10W) draw about 90W. That gives you roughly 13 hours. If you add a small fridge (100W running), the same battery lasts about 4 to 5 hours. If you add a 1.5-ton AC, forget it. That needs a 51.2V or 16KW system.

In peak summer, expect noticeably less runtime because the battery works harder and the inverter loses a little efficiency. Plan for a margin. If you need 10 hours, size for 12.

Which 12V 100Ah lithium solar battery should you buy?

Our 12V 100Ah model is the entry point. It uses EVE prismatic cells, has an LCD display for live status, Bluetooth monitoring, and works with all major inverters. It carries a 3-year warranty and an 8000 life cycle rating. Price: Rs 66,000, checked in October 2026.

It suits small solar setups, UPS backup for a room, RVs, and off-grid cabins. If your daily load is under 1kWh, this is the right pick. If you are running a full home, look at the 24V or 51.2V options below.

Is a 24V 100Ah lithium solar battery better for a normal home?

Yes, for most Pakistani homes the 24V 100Ah is the sweet spot. It stores 2400Wh, double the 12V model, and runs a typical load of lights, fans, TV and router for a full evening and night.

It uses the same EVE prismatic cells and smart BMS, plus LCD and Bluetooth monitoring. Price: Rs 130,000, checked in October 2026. It carries a 3-year warranty and an 8000 life cycle rating.

If your inverter is 24V, this is the natural upgrade. If your inverter is 12V, you would need to change the inverter or add a step-up, which is not worth it. Match the voltage first.

When should you move to a 51.2V or 16KW lithium solar battery?

Move up when your daily load crosses 2kWh or when you want to run heavy appliances. The 51.2V 100Ah gives 5120Wh, enough for a whole-home backup with fans, lights, fridge and a small AC for a few hours. Price: Rs 235,000, checked in October 2026.

The 16KW 51.2V 314Ah is for large homes and commercial setups. It stores 16,076Wh and runs serious loads, including multiple ACs and a water pump, through long outages. Price: Rs 580,000, checked in October 2026.

Both use EVE LiFePO4 cells, have LCD and Bluetooth, work with hybrid and off-grid inverters, and carry a 3-year warranty with an 8000 life cycle rating. If you are unsure which voltage your inverter supports, check the label on the inverter or send us a photo.

How to charge a lithium solar battery

Charging a lithium solar battery is simpler than lead-acid because there is no water to check and no equalization stage. But you must use a charger or solar charge controller with a lithium profile.

For a 12V 100Ah battery, a 12V lithium-compatible solar charge controller works. Set the absorption voltage to the battery’s spec (usually 14.2V to 14.6V for 12V LiFePO4) and float around 13.6V. Do not use a lead-acid-only charger that pushes 15V or higher; it will trip the BMS.

For 24V and 51.2V systems, use a matching charge controller or hybrid inverter with a lithium setting. Most modern hybrid inverters have a LiFePO4 mode. If yours does not, you can set custom voltages. Ask us for the exact numbers for your model.

Charging from solar: size your panels so the charge current stays within the battery’s recommended range. A common rule is 0.2C to 0.5C. For a 100Ah battery, that is 20A to 50A. More panels than that is fine if the controller limits current, but do not exceed the battery’s max charge rate.

1

Match the voltage

Use a 12V charger for a 12V battery, 24V for 24V, and so on. Wrong voltage will not charge and may damage the BMS.

2

Set the lithium profile

Choose LiFePO4 mode on your inverter or charge controller. If there is no preset, set absorption and float voltages manually.

3

Check the charge current

Stay within the battery’s recommended charge current. For 100Ah, 20A to 50A is a safe range.

4

Monitor via LCD or Bluetooth

Watch the state of charge and voltage. If the BMS cuts off early, check for loose connections or high temperature.

5

Keep it ventilated

Do not charge in a sealed box. Airflow keeps the BMS and cells cool, especially in summer.

What size solar panel do you need for a 24V 100Ah lithium battery?

For a 24V 100Ah battery (2400Wh), plan for 600W to 800W of panels to charge it fully in a day with average sunlight. In Pakistan, you get strong sun for most of the year, so 600W is usually enough if the battery is not deeply discharged every day.

If you want faster charging or you have heavy daily use, go up to 1000W. The charge controller must be rated for the panel voltage and current. A 24V system typically uses an MPPT controller rated at 30A to 40A for this size.

For a 12V 100Ah battery, 300W to 400W of panels is a good match. For a 51.2V 100Ah, plan for 1200W to 1600W. The 16KW battery needs a much larger array, often 3kW to 5kW or more, depending on how fast you want to recharge.

These are starting points. Your actual need depends on how much energy you draw each day and how many sun hours you get in your city. Islamabad and Lahore get good sun; Karachi is strong but hot; northern areas have shorter winter days.

Which one should you pick?

Pick based on your daily load and your inverter voltage. Do not buy a bigger battery than your inverter can charge, and do not buy a smaller one than your load needs.

  • 12V 100Ah (Rs 66,000): one room, small shop, UPS backup, RV. Load under 1kWh per day.
  • 24V 100Ah (Rs 130,000): normal home with lights, fans, TV, fridge. Load around 2kWh per day.
  • 51.2V 100Ah (Rs 235,000): whole-home backup, office, small AC. Load around 5kWh per day.
  • 16KW 51.2V 314Ah (Rs 580,000): large home or commercial. Multiple ACs, pumps, heavy load.
